Giorgio Cellerino: “Data centers: we’ve invented a way to reduce the noise they produce”

New York State, under Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul, has banned their construction for a year while it determines how to regulate large-scale data centers, known as hyperscale facilities. Lombardy Region, under centre-right Governor Attilio Fontana, introduced legislation that came into force in June: more than 70 facilities are already operating in the region, with development and investment plans worth up to €22 billion over five years.
