Soundproof enclosure for the VRF units at a Newcleo facility
Newcleo is an innovative company operating in the nuclear energy sector and committed to generating safe, clean, sustainable energy. We carried out an acoustic insulation project for one of their Italian facilities. This facility, originally a hotel, had been renovated and converted into temporary accommodations for the engineers and researchers working at the ENEA research center in Brasimone.
Specifically, we designed and manufactured a Fonois SH Pod Advanced Multi VRF soundproof enclosure to house the three external VRF units that had been installed within a single structure in the courtyard of the building.
We developed the solution by combining Quiet Leaf™ and Slim Hurdle™ technologies in a system designed to minimize the acoustic impact of the operating equipment, particularly on the surrounding neighborhood.
The enclosure, fitted on three sides with acoustic intake grilles, features a roof designed with sound-absorbing baffles positioned over the fan outlets to ensure effective noise screening toward the nearest sensitive receptors.
