Sensitive facilities such as hospitals and schools require a perfect balance of efficient climate control and maximum acoustic comfort
For this particular project, we were called to Rome to address a noise issue being caused by heat pumps at Mater Dei General Hospital, a historic and renowned private facility located in the Parioli district.
Here, we installed a FONOIS SH POD Advanced Heat Pump 2 sound-absorbing enclosure that measures 1900 x 2500 x 2100 mm (75 x 98 x 83 in) (H) and consists of removable panels externally mounted to the unit and a panel of acoustic grilles positioned over the heat exchange coil.
In addition, the roof of the enclosure was fitted with a soundproofed baffle structure to mitigate the noise generated by the equipment’s exhaust fans.
This solution drastically reduced noise emissions and restored complete tranquility to the surrounding environment.
