Acoustic insulation of building systems in the Turkish Consulate, Milan
We were commissioned to design and implement a technical system for the acoustic insulation and aesthetic integration of the external air-conditioning equipment for the historic building near the Arco della Pace that houses the Turkish Consulate of Milan.
The project was carried out in a protected, highly sensitive setting, one which required tailored solutions that would combine technical performance with minimal visual impact. The system developed provides:
- Significant noise reduction, protecting neighboring residences as well as the interior spaces of the Consulate, where official events are frequently held.
- Architectural integration through the use of a seamless shell that conceals air intakes and outlets with clean lines and an unobtrusive appearance well-suited to the architectural aesthetic of the building.
- Long-term maintainability and performance without compromising functionality or regulatory compliance.
The result is a low-impact solution in both visual and acoustic terms, perfectly blended with the existing architecture and fully meeting the representational requirements of the institution it serves.
