Quiet Leaf™: acoustic insulation of a production line with 25 dB noise reduction
A section of a tire production line, designed and manufactured for one of its clients by Erhardt+Leimer, was emitting noise at levels exceeding 90 dB. In order to be in compliance with regulations governing noise emissions from industrial machinery, we would have to reduce these levels to below 80 dB.
The solution developed by STS Isolamenti employed Quiet Leaf™ acoustic enclosures specifically designed to allow for seamless integration with the production process. The project included opening sections, soundproofed spaces for pipe routing and an acoustic tunnel for the passage of materials.
We were able to achieve a 25 dB reduction in noise levels.
