Home Music Room: acoustic insulation and comfort for a La Scala musician
Professional musician Marco Toro, first chair trumpet for the Orchestra and Philharmonic Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala, commissioned STS Isolamenti to enable him to play and practice freely at home without disturbing his neighbors.
The project was carried out in a room that specifically served as a music space and was made possible with the installation of a Home Music Room™, a solution that allowed for detailed customization and could be designed so as not to radically alter the appearance of the room as a conventional soundproof booth might.
The bespoke nature of the project allowed us to achieve the ideal result; acoustic insulation for an irregularly shaped room as well as an acoustic treatment within the space that allows for the best possible sound quality for the instrument.
