Installation of acoustic enclosures at Citibank Headquarters, Milan

STS Isolamenti carried out two strategic projects at Citibank’s Italian headquarters in the heart of Milan, the objective of which was to improve acoustic comfort without compromising functionality or design.

1. Silence with a view: the panoramic terrace

Through the use of SH Pod Advanced Chiller XL enclosures, STS soundproofed two large multifunctional units that occupy the building’s terrace. With the enclosures in place, the space has been rendered suitable for events and meetings.

The solution, which incorporated a specially tailored design to conceal the equipment without compromising the aesthetics of the area, provided excellent acoustic performance.

2. Maximum performance on level -1

In the basement of the building, two chillers, components of the data center cooling system, had been installed in an area that was not included in the original project design.

In order to minimize their acoustic impact within the limited space available, we used Quiet Leaf panels and Slim Hurdle acoustic grilles, high-performance solutions designed to meet unique challenges.

This project showcases an effective combination of technical innovation, bespoke design and a commitment to acoustic well-being in helping to create a more comfortable, more functional and quieter work environment.
