Project at Amazon’s logistics hub in Rome

Acoustic barrier for the Amazon logistics hub in Rome

Our technical team also completed a project at the Amazon logistics hub in Rome. Unlike in Verona, the challenge here was external to the facility, protecting the surrounding residential areas from the noise generated by loading and unloading operations. Given that the hub is located in a mixed urban area, noise limits are particularly rigid.

The solution was as effective as it was straightforward. We installed a lightweight yet high-performance acoustic barrier made up of self-supporting Quiet Leaf™ panels. Neither foundations nor invasive masonry work were required for the task. The panels are supported by prefabricated concrete blocks. This allows for quick and discreet installation that can easily be reversed.

Custom-designed for the site and standing just over 13 feet high, the barrier significantly reduced the noise impact on nearby homes, protecting residents’ right to a noise-free environment without compromising logistics hub operations.
