Acoustic insulation of systems at Amazon’s Verona facility
At the Amazon logistics hub in Verona, noise generated by the ventilation system exceeded the acoustic limits set by current regulations and was disturbing employees. We were involved in resolving this critical issue.
We designed and installed a system of Slim Hurdle™ thin-baffle silencers, positioning them inside the existing ductwork. In order to attenuate the more challenging lower frequencies, we specially designed components that could be integrated into the plenums.
This customized solution reduced sound pressure levels significantly despite having minimal impact on the existing system.
In addition, the system greatly improved acoustic comfort, contributing to a calmer work environment and making a real difference in the employees’ overall working conditions.
This project was carried out in collaboration with Viva Consulting, a Milan-based engineering firm.
